From K-Town, With Love

Featuring one of Ananda’s largest ever casts, including a large number of novice actors, From K-Town, With Love was a strong political satire that examined the emerging fusion of protest culture, social media and politics in Sri Lanka.

Strongly commended for its daring, provocative script by the panel of judges as well as many in the audience, the play continued Ananda’s tradition of staging experimental plays at the Royal Drama Competition.

The play made it to the finals of the competition, and Malith Fernando, who played the Boy in the Barrel, won the coveted Award for Most Memorable Performance.
