By 2008, the ACDC was rapidly building a reputation inside the school as one of the best clubs to be a part of. As a result, when practices for the Shakespeare Drama Competition began in early August, the ACDC had many new members. It was decided early on that all of these students, irrespective of age and experience, would be accommodated in the production in some capacity or other.
ACDC’s production of Coriolanus, Shakespeare’s unsparing examination of the dangers of power and the capriciousness of popularity, featured its largest ever cast and crew to date. The play introduced many new batches of Anandians to English theatre, and laid the foundations of much greater to come.
